My 1st E Jeepney Experience

I have been hearing and reading about the E-Jeepney that is going around Makati but I never had a chance to try riding even if I am a Makati resident. I had a chance to finally try it and it was a blissful experience.

The E-Jeepney line starts at the back of Landmark. They have two routes, One is around Legaspi Village and the other is at Salcedo Village Side. It used to be for free for more than year, it's only last summer that they imposed an P8.00 fare. It's not bad at all considering that you will be able to go inside either Legaspi or Salcedo Village without the hassle of walking under the heat or rain.

I got a chance to chat with few of the lady drivers...Yes,  most of the drivers are women! This only proves that women can do some tasks that we thought only men can.

According to them, the owners prefer to have a lady driver because women are more disciplined, patient and they can control their temper quite well than men. Most of these women are in their late 30s until 40's. They earn decently with a day off plus an 8 hour day job. Not bad huh!

I hope that there will be more companies like them who is not only concern about the environment but also takes care of welfare of their employees.

The E-Jeepney goes around from 7 :00 AM to 10 : 00 AM, 11 : 00 AM to 1 :00 PM, 4 :00 PM to 6:30PM.

Zooperb Shots 2012 North Leg

The 1st Zooperb Shots On-the-spot Photo contest of Zoomanity Group was indeed a success! Participated by over 50 photographers who joined the contest from different Photography club, from North to South.

GMA's Balitanghali Anchorman and New Reporter Raffy Tima, who is also into photography for more than a decade, A respectable photographer & architect and the founder of Pinoy Photography Organization Reggie Fernando, The Marketing Representative from Epson, Mr. Armando and Zoomanity's General Manager for North, Ms. Delia De Jesus are the judges who had hard time picking the top 5 amongst the 113 photos submitted.

Here's the top 5 winners of the Zooperb Shots, North Leg ;

1st place and the Epson Photo Choice Award by : Cleo Roda Nodado

For the 1st place Cleon won a  cash prize worth P10,000, Epson Printer, Gift certificate from Subic Yatch Club, GC's from Zoomanity, GC's from Blackbeard and other gift items

For the Epson Photo Choice Award, Cleo won a Wifi Printer worth more than P10,000

 

 

  

2nd place and the Zoomanity Choice Award   by : Emmanuel Guerrero

The 2nd place won a cash prize worth P5,000 plus Epson Printer, Gift Certificates from Zoomanity and other gift Items from partners and sponsors

The said event was supported by Epson Philippines. They gave away top of the line printers to our winners and printed all the photos from the South and North participants. Over 100 photos will be exhibited from May 1 to June 17 around Zoomanity theme parks starting at Zoobic Safari, Zoocobia, Paradizoo and Residence Inn.

Zooperb Shots (South Leg)

Zoomanity Group (Residence Inn, Paradizoo, Zoocobia & Zoobic Safari) recently concluded the Zooperb Shots On the spot photo contest at the South Area.

Participated in by at least 20 hobbyist photographers from Pasig Shutterbugs, Nikon Club, Gruppo Potograpika, Pinoy Photography Organization and others.

Here's the top 5 winning entries ;

3rd place : Joseph Tan

The 1st placer got a P10,000 CASH, plus Epson Printer, Gift Certificates and gift items.
The 2nd placer got a P5,000 CASH plus Benro Journo Camera Bag, Gift Certificates and gift items
The 3rd placer got a P3,000 CASH plus Lenspen/Crumpler Camera Strap, Gift Certificates and gift items. 

There were also some  special prizes and raffle courtesy of Lightroom Corp., M20, Fibisco and Zoomanity Group.

Hope to see more photo hobbyists & professionals for the next leg of the contest. April 28, 2012, start at Zoocobia, Clarkfield Pampanga (8 to 11am) and the end point will be at Zoobic Safari (SBMA) from 12nn to 3PM. Awardings and photo exhibit will follow right after.
